Guided Bird Walk - Lake Murray, Northwest Side

Join MTRP bird walk leaders for a guided bird walk along the scenic shore of Lake Murray. In winter, Lake Murray reliably provides an abundance of waterfowl as well as land birds. We’ll look for Tri-colored Blackbirds that are found year-round only in California.

Meet on the northwest side of the lake. After entering at Murray Park Drive and Belle Glade Avenue, proceed along the driveway past a set of ballfields on your right and turn into the paved parking lot on your right.

Bring binoculars if you have them. Wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes, and bring along water. A hat and sunscreen are also recommended. Walks are canceled if raining.
